Ruth Elaine Harrison's Obituary
HARRISON, RUTH ELAINE, age 79, of Mesquite. Ruth was born on August 25, 1932 in Sabetha, Kansas and passed away on November 27, 2011. She was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Mesquite and a resident of Mesquite for the past 47 years. After graduation from Sabetha High School in 1950, she served in the U.S. Navy. She was married to J. H. (Jay) Harrison for 46 years, who preceded her in death. She was a devoted wife and mother to her husband and 2 sons. Ruth dearly enjoyed children and was a longtime provider of childcare. Ruth is survived by her sister Leola Oldridge and brother Gary Aberle, of Kansas; 2 sons, Randy Harrison and wife Debbie of Albuquerque, NM; Jeff Harrison and wife Patricia of Parker, TX; 4 granddaughters, Heidi, Haley, Brooke and Whitney; 1 grandson, Tyler. Services officiated by Pastor James O’Dell at Calvary Hill Baptist Church at 2:00pm on Friday, December 2, 2011, with interment at Restland Memorial Park. Family visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Thursday, December 1, 2011.
