Ruth Meier Hollon's Obituary
HOLLON, RUTH ENOLA, age 88, of Plano, Texas passed away peacefully on February 27, 2013 at The Plaza of Richardson. She was born on March 5, 1925 in Dallas, Texas to her parents, Walter and Dorotha. Ruth was the one of 8. She married Daniel in Dallas on July 7, 1946. They had 6 children. She attended Parkland School of Nursing and graduated in 1945 with a degree in Nursing. She was a longtime resident of Richardson, Texas for 47 years. Ruth was a member of 1st United Church of Richardson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Hollon; and sons Larry and Arthur. Ruth will be remembered by her children, Bill and Kasey Hollon, of Plano, John & Jeannine Hollon, of Carrollton, Margie Hollon, of Plano, Douglas & Tammy Hollon, of Allen. She is also survived by twin sister, Dorotha Neikirk, of Fredricksburg & brother, Jim Meier, of Arlington; grandchildren, Kristin Mason, Patrick Hollon, Kathryn Hollon, Alyson Hollon, Jonathan Hollon, Samantha Hollon, Austin Hollon, Travis Hollon, Jennifer Hollon, Stephanie Hollon, Zack Hollon, Jacob Hollon, and great- grandchildren, Maddie, Bridgit & Heather Mason, Elizabeth and Max Hollon. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Monday, March 4, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Restland Memorial Chapel followed by services at 11:00 AM.
