Ruth Ann Johnson's Obituary
Ruth Ann Johnson, 96, of Rowlett, Texas, was born December 28, 1926, in Bonham, Texas, to Marvin John and Leonard Texas (Kinnard) Walker. She peacefully passed away surrounded by family and friends on March 23, 2023.
Ruth married Weldon R. Johnson on May 31, 1946. He preceded her in death on September 12, 1997.
Ruth was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rowlett. She enjoyed church functions, playing games and time with family.
Ruth was the sweetest, kindest human to ever grace this earth. She loved and devoted her life to family and friends. Nothing gave Ruth more pleasure than being with family; most especially her son, whom she loved more than anything.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers and one sister.
She is lovingly survived by: her son, Weldon R. (Robin) Johnson, Jr.; her grandson, Chad (Kimberlee) Johnson; her great-grandsons Adam (Emily) Johnson, Oliver Johnson and Henry Johnson; her grandson, Chance (Kelly) Johnson; and her great-grandchildren Haley Plopa, Cade Johnson and Chloe Johnson.
Funeral services will commence at ten o’clock on the morning of Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Leatherwood officiating. Interment will be in Restland Memorial Park. Family will receive friends between 6 o’clock and 8 o’clock on the evening of Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Restland Funeral Home.
