Ruth Marie March's Obituary
Ruth Marie March, known affectionately as “Red” or “Mia” of Richardson, TX, passed away this December 4, 2010 peacefully in the company of her beloved daughter Barbara at the age of 96. She is survived by her daughter Barbara March-Silva, son-in-law Don Silva, step-son Gene March, step-daughter Joan March-Blanton, foster-daughter Yvonne Frame-Adkins, grandchildren Kendall and Colin Silva, Deborah Miller-Walz, Bruce Miller, Kathy Miller-Murray , Judith March-Kelly, Kathy March-Ralston, William Blanton and of course her beloved great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Born on November 28, 1914 in Texas to Willie “Mere” Bailey and John Henry Bailey, The second of 4 children, young Ruth grew up in a loving home of hardworking, good people with modest means. In her adulthood, she was blessed with a fairy-tale life through Europe and the States alongside her husband Wallace W. March, with whom she shared a long and happy marriage until his passing in 1977. She remained a gracious woman, letting all around her know how much they meant to her, a quality she carried with her throughout her days. The family would like to acknowledge the deep devotion and care provided by Peggy Oldham over the last 10 years, who went beyond ‘caregiver’ to become a cherished member of the family. Those of us who are left behind are grateful for having had her in our lives and we celebrate her reunion in heaven with her beloved parents, husband, sisters Helen, Billie, and Ruby Lee, brother Jay and son Robert M. March. We will be gathering to show our love and celebrate her life on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 10am at Restland in the Wildwood Chapel. A viewing will take place on Wednesday, December 8 from 6-8pm.
