Ruth Mary Monahan's Obituary
MONAHAN, MRS. RUTH TOLLEFSON, 95, of Fort Mill and formerly of Dallas, Texas, died Monday, July 29, 2013, at her home. Born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Monahan was a daughter of the late Frank Robert Johnson, Sr. and Nora Matilda Morse Johnston. She served as a 1st Lt. U.S. Army Nurse Corp. during World War II. Surviving are her husband, Carl E. Monahan of Fort Mill, South Carolina; her daughter, Tracey Green Whitaker; two sisters, Norma Turner of Temple, Texas and Francine Korenich of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Michael, Kelley Green and wife, Cindy, and Tara Green and two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Carter Green. She was preceded in death by her first husband, R. S. Tollefson. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Restland Memorial Park.
