Ruth Marilyn Ringler, 91, passed away September 26, 2020 in North Richland Hills, TX. She was born September 14, 1929 to parents Wellington Shook and Bernice Daniel in Akron, Ohio. She married James Ringler on June 14, 1947 in Akron, Ohio. She was a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of Goss Memorial Church in Akron growing up and member of First Baptist, Euless, TX at death.
Our mom was born at home in Akron, Ohio in 1929. She had an older brother, George, and a younger sister Mary. Back then mom loved to go to the Movie Theater which only cost a nickel. Her dad Welly was well known for his photographic memory. He remembered hundreds of peoples birthdays and knew what day of the week they were born on. Her mother was a great cook. Mom remembered a poor man coming to their porch and asking for food. Her mother made him a huge sandwich packed with meat. Mom's family attended Goss Memorial Church. Mom sang in the choir and that is where she met James Ringler, our dad. They sang in the church choirs for the next 40+ years. Mom & Dad always took the 4 of us to church. Mom told us at an early age about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins and that he rose from the grave 3 days later. Mom was always there to answer our questions about the Bible. Mom was a great cook and always had Birthday dinners for all of us. The grandkids favorite memory was decorating homemade Christmas cookies with Grandma. Mom was loving, kind, patient, sweet and generous. God blessed us with the best. We love you Mom! See you soon! Jimmy, June, Michael & Julie.
She is survived by daughters June Fulton-Sun City, AZ (husband Randy), Julia Perry- North Richland Hills, TX (husband Andy), sons James Ringler, Jr. of Mt. Vernon, TX (wife Brenda), Michael Ringler of South Chesterfield, VA (wife Carolyn), sister Mary Elizabeth Shepherd, 89yrs of Mansfield, twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
