Ruth Evelyn Zaccarello's Obituary
Ruth Evelyn (Ulery) Zaccarello, 97 years old, was born on August 29, 1919 in Cherokee, Kansas to Alice Frankie (Ester) Ulery and Samuel Ulery. She peacefully passed away on May 13, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother; 4 sisters; husband, Frank Zaccarello; daughter, Lana Turner; and son-in-law, Roy G. Turner, Jr. Ruth was raised in Kansas and moved to various locations due to her husband’s career. They settled in Dallas in the early 50s. Ruth’s life revolved around her faith and family and she was actively engaged in her church and all her family’s activities. She read her devotionals and Bible daily, as well as the newspaper. And, she enjoyed reading a good book. She is survived by her brother, Merle Ulery; daughter, Alice Zaccarello; son, Frank Zaccarello (Cathy); grandchildren, Andrea Darby (Doug), Roy G. Turner III (Laura), Alicia Schraeder (Jeff), Dante Zaccarello (Melissa), and Alexis Zaccarello (Matthew Walker); and eleven great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the church where she raised her children. A Reception will immediately follow the service at Elmwood United Methodist Church, 1315 Berkley Dallas, TX 75224. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity or church that stirs your soul.
