Rutha Marcell Hill's Obituary
Born August 16, 1924 near Westminster, TX. Mother: Rutha Mae Mott Buchanan, Father: Edna Glenn Buchanan “Mr. Buck”. Raised in McKinney, TX. Graduated from McKinney H.S. in 1942. Married Coleman E. Hill July 31, 1949 (He died November, 1980). She was a resident of Richardson, TX from 1957-2007. Moved to Henderson in November, 2006 to be near her family. Preceded in death by husband, Coleman Hill; brother, Garvis Buchanan; sister, Dahlia Chilton. Survived by sister, Billie Mac Wade; brother, Arvis Buchanan; sons, Charles Hill and wife Judy, Larry Hill and wife Alice; grandsons, Collin Hill and wife Meredith, Caleb Hill and wife Trista, Chris Hill and wife Christy, Corey Grimes, Andrew Hill and wife Fabia, and Jonathan Hill; granddaughter, Sarah Hill; great-grandchildren, Ian and Anna Hill. Faithful wife, Christian mother, and true friend. She will be remembered by her friends in her Sunday School Class at FBC Richardson where she was a member for over 50 years and by her friends at the Gardens of Richardson and the Azalea House of Henderson. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Hospice of East Texas, www.hospiceofeasttexas.org. We also want to express our appreciation to the loving caregivers of Azalea House and Hospice of East Texas.
