Ryan Sanchez Villaruel's Obituary
Ryan Sanchez Villaruel was born September 3, 1972 in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. He passed away unexpectedly on July 19, 2022 shortly before his 50th birthday. He came to America when he was 7 years old and was in the first graduating class of Poteet High School in Mesquite, TX. Ryan worked for several companies before starting his own business doing the things he loved as a General Contractor.
Ryan’s skillset ranged from building a house to fixing cars to landscaping. He was able to take peoples’ dreams and turn them into reality. Despite the masterful craftsmanship of his works, Ryan remained humble and selfless. Even though Ryan was so proud of his daughters, Haley and Sydney, he would never take credit for their accomplishments. However, his hard work ethic and compassion for others were so influential to their success.
Everyone knew he was just a call away whenever they needed help with anything. Ryan was generous with his time, skills, and smile. When people hired him, he was not only their general contractor, he also became a part of their family. He regularly volunteered his time at First United Methodist Church of Plano and served on the Board of Trustees.
Ryan was a kid at heart and loved teasing all of his nephews, little cousins, Godsons, and Goddaughters. They all looked forward to a visit from their Uncle Ryan.
Ryan is survived by his daughters, Haley and Sydney and their mother Julyn, and his beloved dog, Milo. Ryan is also survived by his father, Jeremias Villaruel, his mother, Asuncion Villaruel, his older brother Oliver and wife Christine and their two children Noah and Nathan, and his younger sister Jenni and husband Beto and their two children Diego and Antonio.
Although Ryan will be greatly missed, the work that he has left behind will be an everlasting reminder of the generosity of his spirit.
