Sally Otis Cassidy's Obituary
Sally Otis Cassidy passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, December 23, 2023.
Sally was born in Shreveport, LA on August 21,1930 to Herbert Comstock Otis and Lucille Landrum Otis.
She had a brother Herbert Comstock, Jr. and a sister Margaret Otis French (both deceased).
Sally attended The Hockaday School, Wellesley College and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor degree in 1951.
Sally was a member of Pi Beta Phi, Mensa, The Junior League of Dallas, The Dallas Women’s Club, The Marianne Scruggs Garden Club, The Brook Hollow Golf Club and was on the founding committee for The Crystal Charity Ball. Sally was an avid traveler and talented photographer who traveled to over 65 countries taking amazing pictures while enjoying all the varied cultures of the world. Her main love and focus in life though was centered around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she all loved dearly.
Sally is predeceased by her son, Michael Otis Cassidy. She is survived by her daughter, Elynn Cassidy Trussell and husband, Richard; her son, Clifton Wilson Cassidy, III and wife, Mitzi; and her daughter, Kelly Cassidy McBee and husband, Michael; her 8 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Olise Henson and Kandengi Pemba who were devoted to and took wonderful care of our mother.
There will be a private family memorial at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Cemetery.
