My sincerest sympathies to all of Sally's family. Thank you for including her in the SMU magazine Memoriam. I just found her, and I am having a wave of wonderful memories. Sally and I were friends at SMU, and I roomed with her for a while.

My very favorite memory is her visit to Tampico. Mexico. I married Kit Lokey in 1967, and in 1968 we had moved to Tampico for his job in cotton. Sally came for a visit and brought with her the top to Kit and my wedding cake to celebrate our first anniversary. The best of the celebration was the almost 36-hour bridge game! So, I also send sympathies to her Bridge Group. I know they will miss her.

I grew up in Longview with Sally, and her sister Twinkle is my dearest friend. We have known each other so long we don't remember NOT knowing each other. Growing up, I spent a lot of time at the Bivins home and was always impressed by Sally's strength and intelligence. She was a very strong person who carved her own way; among other talents, she became a world-class bridge player. She will be greatly missed by those who love her.
