Sam Abington, born on May 28, 1993, in Redwood City, CA, to Stephen and Silvana “Coqui” Abington, passed away on November 14, 2024.
Growing up in Redwood City, Sam was known for his bright mind and kind heart. He was academically proficient and graduated from Burlingame High School. He continued his education at the University of Arizona, where he was a proud member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.
After college, Sam moved to Dallas, TX, where he made a significant impact in the service industry. He became a beloved figure in the service industry, working at popular spots like Christie’s, Long Shot, and most notably, Green Light. His infectious smile and genuine warmth made everyone feel welcome and valued. His warm personality and genuine kindness made him a favorite among patrons and colleagues alike.
A true sports fanatic, Sam’s passion for football and basketball was evident to all who knew him. He was a dedicated fan of any team that brought him joy and a little extra cash. In high school, he proudly represented the Panthers, showcasing his athletic talents.
But beyond his love for sports and his work, Sam was a man with a heart of gold. He never met a stranger, turning acquaintances into friends with his easygoing nature and generous spirit. His ability to connect with people was truly special, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Sam leaves behind his loving mother, Coqui; his younger brother, Nic; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; countless other family members who all loved him so, and a trail of several broken-hearted ladies.
