Sammie Mckinney's Obituary
MCKINNEY, SAMMIE LEE, was born in Douglasville, TX on May 9, 1933 to Isidor and Willie Mckinney and passed away on February 1, 2007 after a short battle with brain cancer. He now joins his beloved wife Woodie Mckinney of 44 years, who died in 2002 and their twins Dwayne and Diane. Known best for his honesty, kindness and generosity, Sammie was one of the area’s top car salesman for more than 25 years and worked at Town East Ford for most of those years. He was known best for giving you a ‘good deal!’ He is survived by his mother, Willie Mckinney; three children, Lawrence Mckinney (Cheryl), Reginald “Haggai” Mckinney and Trina Johnson (Byron); five brothers, John, Charles, Harold, Cole, Maurice and Will; and three sisters, Katherine, Ailene and Merline, ten grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and tons of other family and friends who loved him dearly. Visitation will be Wednesday, . February 7, 2007 from 6 – 8:30pm and services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday February 8, 2007 both at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville, Ave., Dallas, Tx., 75243.
