Samuel Lamar Crook's Obituary
Born on October 31, 1939, in Brownwood, TX and passed away on January 22, 2008 in McKinney, TX. He worked in newspaper advertising at the Sawyer-Ferguson-Walker Agency. He was a member of NASA and of the Dallas Advertising League, where he was once president. Sam was active in coaching boys’ baseball and soccer teams, and was a devoted husband and father. Sam is survived by his wife, Frances L. Crook, whom he married on December 29, 1963 ‘ they just celebrated 44 years of marriage. He is also survived by son, Trey Crook, daughter, Cred’ Lehmann and husband, Todd; grandchildren, Tyler Lehmann and Chase Lehmann; and sister, Judy Hackler and husband, James. Visitation will be from 6 to 8PM Thursday, January 24, 2008, at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be at 12:30, Friday, January 25, 2008, at Restland Wildwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sam L. Crook Memorial Fund, Compass Bank 806 W McDermott Dr. Allen, TX 75013.
