Rev. Samuel Laxman Gamadia's Obituary
GAMADIA, REV. SAMUEL LAXMAN went to be with our Lord on January 21, 2014. Papa, Dada, and Brother Sam, as he was known to many, was born on May 31, 1921, in Gujarat, India, to parents Laxman and Ganga Gamadia. He received his Doctorate in Theology in 1979 from Dallas Theological Seminary. A devout follower of Christ, Sam dedicated his life to spreading the Gospel through mission work in Africa and India, and his radio ministry “Jeevan Shanti.” He is preceded in death by his son Joy Gamadia and daughter-in-law Lata. He is survived by his loving wife and ministry partner of 71 years Suman Gamadia, son Noel Gamadia and wife Sheela, son Linus Gamadia and wife Orpah, as well as 7 grandchildren and their spouses: Neerav and Simran Gamadia, Niketa and Robert Christy, Amee and Dan McGough, Mark Gamadia, Irene and Charlie Gamadia, Stephanie and Rikin Patel, Jasmine and Rex Christian, and 10 great-grand-children: Nisha, Anish, Fiza, Mica, Mason, Keeran, Mia, Naomi, Noah, and Eli. Services will be held Saturday, January 25, at 10am at St. Philip’s United Methodist Church in Garland. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21
