Sandee Laverne Jones' Obituary
Sandee Laverne Jones, age 65, of Dallas, Texas, peacefully transitioned on August 19, 2025. Born on April 19, 1960, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to George Watley and Martha Jones Watley, Sandee lived a life marked by unconditional love, unwavering service, and a heart full of gold.
Sandee was united in marriage to Dwight Jones in April 1976, and later to Mark Chester in April 2008. Her love for family was the cornerstone of her life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Known for her nurturing spirit, Sandee was always the first to arrive and the last to leave, offering comfort, care, and a hot, fresh meal to anyone in need. Her home was a sanctuary—where love was abundant and no one was ever a stranger.
She earned her associate degree from the University of Phoenix and proudly became a published author in 2022 with her book, Fathom This, If You Can. Her words, like her presence, brought healing and hope to many.
Sandee was preceded in death by her parents, George and Martha Watley; her brother, Baron Watley; her husbands, Dwight Jones and Mark Chester; and her nephews, Jordan Walker, David Stovall and Zachary Stovall Tanksley.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength, survived by her siblings Cynthia, Phyllis, Stacey, Kevin, Harry, and George; her children Dwight, Dominic, Eunice, Dwayne, Carlos, and Lewis; her grandchildren Lakaesha, Solomon, Nicolas, Ashleigh, Brianna, Amaya, Reshawn, Laila, Blake, Lucas, and Ezra; and her great-grandchildren Zara, Zianna, and Isaiah. She is also remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and cherished friends.
Sandee’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her love was limitless, her presence unforgettable, and her impact everlasting.
