Sandra Lynn (Simpson) Brewster passed away on July 2, 2024 in Plano, Tx after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She departed peacefully, but not before offering words of encouragement and wisdom to all who surrounded her in her last moments.
Sandra leaves a legacy of faith-centered living, discernment, strength, integrity, and forgiveness. According to those who knew her, she was a rare beauty and had a heart of gold. Throughout her life she wholeheartedly supported others and asked for nothing in return. Born to Reverend Burl and Willie Mae Simpson on May 12, 1959 in Dallas, Tx, Sandra developed an early relationship with Christ that held steadfast until her last breath. From early childhood to adolescence she was a member of her church choir and served in her church community in various roles. She was undoubtedly qualified as the daughter, cousin, and niece to both men and women in service to God in countless roles in the church. Sandra later retired from an executive role at ST Services, LLC. As a matriarch she is better known as “Lynn”, “Mama”, “Auntie Lynn”, “Granny” and “Big Mama”. Armed with a fervent desire to honor God, she had an opportunity to be a present and active fixture in the lives of all 6 of her grandchildren and remained an avid supporter of all family members, ensuring that she attended, celebrated, and even hosted numerous baby showers, weddings, birthdays, graduations, award ceremonies, and performances. Sandra’s dedication to her family was remarkable. She had a gift for
lighting up a room and will truly be missed by all who had the privilege and honor of witnessing her strength and faith in Christ.
