Sandra Ann Kirk's Obituary
Sandra Kirk of Dallas, Texas, 78, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, after a lengthy illness. She was born on September 3, 1947, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to the late Clem and Bobbye (Little) Kirk. A proud graduate of Michigan State University, Sandra dedicated 31 years to teaching Spanish in the Plano Independent School District in Texas, where she inspired generations of students with her warmth, kindness, and steady devotion to education.
She was the beloved mother of John Kirk (Megan Page) and the adoring grandmother of Deacon and Jane Kirk, all of South Lyon, Michigan; and the dear sister of Ron Kirk (Ashley) of Lexington, Kentucky. She is also survived by her cherished nephews, Jeffrey Kirk, David Kirk (Ally) and their children, Collin, Finley, and Gavin, as well as Daniel Kirk and Chase Kirk. Sandra also leaves behind a wide circle of treasured friends who will miss her dearly.
Sandra raised her son John on her own with tremendous strength and love, guiding him through college and graduate school through her hard work and perseverance. She was deeply faithful and a devoted member of Town North Presbyterian Church, where she found joy in fellowship and service. Sandra will be remembered for her generosity and compassion. She cared deeply for those around her, often putting the needs of friends and family before her own. Whether comforting a grieving friend or bringing homemade meals and baked goods to someone in need, she embodied genuine kindness and selflessness in everything she did. Her warmth, grace, and loving spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on April 18th at 2:00 p.m. in Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
