Sandra Jean Lansford Kent's Obituary
Born September 25, 1950 in Bonham, Texas and passed away January 3, 2016 in Allen, Texas. Preceded in death by her husband, TK (Thomas Kent); her parents, Robert and Ima Mae Lansford; and her sister, JoAnn (Thane). Sandra is survived by her sons, Bradly Tomberlin and wife Julie; Billy Kent and wife Erin; and granddaughters, Sydney and Finley. She enjoyed a 43 year career with State Farm Insurance Company, retiring on June 1, 2013. Sandy was an accomplished piano and accordion player. She enjoyed traveling, cooking for her family and spending time with friends. Sandy fought a courageous 18 month battle with pancreatic cancer. She passed away peacefully in her own home surrounded by loved ones. Services will take place at 3:00 pm on Friday, January 8, 2016 at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research or MD Anderson Hospital. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
