Sandra Ann Martin's Obituary
Sandra Ann “Sandy” Martin, 62, of The Colony, TX passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 in Dallas from complications of the genetic disorder Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT). She was born Sunday, August 18, 1957 in Dallas to James Olan Snow and Dorothy Louise Sudych and grew up in Farmers Branch. She attended Mary Immaculate Catholic School in Farmers Branch and graduated from R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton in 1975. She married Donald Joe “Donny” Martin on November 11, 1977.Sandy was loving, caring, generous, and an advocate for those who could not speak up for themselves. She always helped anyone in need and found great joy in giving gifts to others. She enjoyed traveling, especially around Europe, and taking cruises. She was very proud of her Czech heritage and was a member of the Czech organization SPJST for over 50 years.Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Olan; and is survived by her husband of nearly 42 years, Donny Martin of The Colony; daughter Wendy Foote and husband Jonathan and grandchildren Liam and Lorelai of Denton; daughter Holly JoAnn Martin of The Colony; son Joe Martin and wife Melissa of Allen; mother Dorothy Schroeder of Dallas; brother Jimmy Snow and wife Patti of Little Elm; sister Sharon Shuler of Guthrie, OK; her uncle Jerome Zabojnik; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.Memorial Service will be Monday, October 14, 2019, 11 am at St. Monica’s Catholic Church, 9933 Midway Rd, Dallas, TX 75220, reception to follow.The family asks that you please do not send flowers.
