Sandra Jay Matuson's Obituary
MATUSON, SANDRA JAY, age 77, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Plano. She was born on May 25, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edward J. and Doris W. Sampson Volk. She married Martin Jacob Matuson in Cleveland, Ohio on June 9, 1958. Sandy spent the greater part of her life in Cleveland and moved to Frisco Lakes in 2007 where she found a welcoming community of friends. She participated in many activities including Garden Club, Book Club, bocce ball, wine tasting, and dining out with friends. Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Marty, and by her youngest son, James P. Matuson. Sandy will be lovingly remembered by her brother Robert Volk of Cleveland, Ohio; daughter Alicia A. Schaab of Sisters, Oregon; son Michael A. Matuson and wife Jean of Plano, and three grandchildren: Heather, Haylee and Connor Schaab of Sisters, Oregon. She will be missed by her many friends at Frisco Lakes.
