Sandra K Meltzer, 81, of Dallas Texas has passed away on June 4th, 2025. She was born to Evelyn and Paul Kaestner in Des Moines Iowa on December 5, 1943.
Sandra was a beloved mother, whose warmth, wit, and quiet strength touched every life she encountered. Known for her boundless love, impeccable charm, and a knack for making a house feel like home, she leaves behind a legacy stitched together with compassion, laughter, and the clink of fine china.
Her prized collection of delicate tea cups and quirky Campbell’s Soup memorabilia spoke to her appreciation for beauty in the ordinary and nostalgia in the everyday. Each piece had a story—and she remembered them all.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Evelyn Kaestner.
She is survived by her son, Steven Portman; her daughter, Wendi Portman; her beloved grandchildren, Rylee Portman, Lexi Portman, and Jade Lujan; as well as many other extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
A service to honor Sandra will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25th , 2025, at Restland Funeral Home's Wildwood Chapel, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
