Sandy Balthrop's Obituary
Sandra "Sandy" Jo Balthrop, born on June 22, 1950, in Muskogee, OK, to Albert Lee and Betty Stretch, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, in Mesquite, TX.
Sandy was a beacon of love and kindness, a devoted family caretaker whose giving nature and acceptance touched everyone she met. Her romantic spirit was a guiding light, especially in her marriage to Judson Balthrop. They wed on September 14, 1985, and shared a bond so deep and loving that it endured until Judson's passing on September 15, 2001.
Her passion for reading transported her to different worlds, while her love for shopping brought her joy. Yet, it was her family that she treasured above all. Sandy's heart belonged to her family. She leaves behind one cherished daughter, three beloved sons, her best friend and sister Donna Stretch, five grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her good friend/travel companion Don Hickson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her father, mother and her precious furbaby Skitters.
Sandy's warmth, generosity and unwavering love will be remembered and celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of care and compassion will continue to inspire and uplift those she leaves behind.
