Sandy will be remembered at ABC, as a good will ambassador (Hats & Jacket procurement) and a good engineer. His sense of humor, and friendship were always available to everyone! We had a lot of good times, and a lot of good memories. RIP Sandy Dick (Second Hand) Roes
Sandy, SBE could always count on you for an alternative look at any issue. At times it seemed to be slowing our progress but I came to realize that your input was always broadening in the very best sense of that word. Great stories, great attitude, great heart, great loyality to your friends in Texas and across the country. what more could be asked of such a great engineer? Rest in Peace after a job well done.
I was Sandy's EIC and TD at many games in Pittsburgh. Sandy was no only a mentor but sincerly cared about the people who he worked with. I don't recall him ever swearing at any situation even though others in his position never stopped. God has a new Engineer in Heaven who will probably have 3DTV working well by the time we get there.
My deepest sympathy to the family on this loss. I worked with 'Sandy' while at abc-tv for years. Our relationship was terrific and 'Sandy' was always there to help. He had a special talent to see that everything got done. I know he is blessed. Marvin Bronstein

Sandy, there were many times when we could have strangled each other when we butted heads over things. I learned so much from you over the years. I will miss you like my father. Rest in Peace my friend.
I wil always remember my friendship with Sandy during my 20 years living and working in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Sandy helped me greatly while serving as Treasurer of SBE Chapter 67 especially during the establishment of our non profit corporate status. I will always cherish my friendship with Sandy. I will miss him.
I loved to listen to Sandy's stories about broadcasting, but Sandy had a lot of stories about everything. Yes, sometimes we made fun of Sandy because he talked so much, but we still loved him. Sandy, Enjoy your new home, Conard.
Sandy, you were an amazing friend to many of us. You always had the time to listen to our point of view and then to make a suggestion. Though I was much younger than Sandy working at ABC together, he was always someone who would take the time to show you what he knew and answer any questions I had. He always had great stories to tell and kept the entertainment side of television alive on both sides of the camera. A great guy and a great loss.
