Sara "Sandy" Edmonson's Obituary
On October 8, 2023 Sara H. Edmonson went home to be with her Savior. She was born in Paducah Texas on Jan 28, 1920 but moved to Dallas in her early years. Sara was married to James “Red” Edmonson, raised 3 children (Greg, David & Gayle), and has myriad grandchildren, and great grandchildren, covering the globe. She did, however, have one driving passion that overshadowed everything else in her life. Her love and adoration of Christ Jesus, her Lord and Savior. This was the catalyst for her classes that would encompass a period of over 60 years. She absolutely loved teaching these truths about the God that she served. And Mother so treasured all of the women in her classes, whom she affectionately referred to as “Her Girls”.
Mother would sit in her study chair for hours on end, and days at a time, to prepare a message of hope and love to share with others. And so she did - for 103 years! She had a most astonishing journey. But her legacy also encompasses so much more. Her life affected a huge assortment of people from all walks of life. She truly made a difference. Now her work is done and the excitement is just beginning as she is in the presence of the very God of the Universe.
We love you Mom and we will see you on the other side.
Until that day
