Sara Virginia McDonald's Obituary
Virginia went to be with her heavenly father on November 4, 2014. She was born on January 10, 1924 in Douglasville, Texas. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, James B. “Jay” McDonald; her parents, Mr. & Mrs. J.M. Johnson; one brother, and three sisters. She is survived by her son, Steven McDonald. Her main interest was in painting, where many of her paintings hang in home in the Lake Highlands area. The sale of her painting was the beginning of the Prayer Garden at LHAMC. She recently had the Garden landscaped. They lived in the Lake Highlands area until 1996 when they moved to CC Young Independent Living where she resided until her death. They were active in LHUMC until her health prevented her from attending. Donations may be made to the McDonald Prayer Garden at LHUMC. The graveside service for Virginia will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Restland Memorial Park at 1:00pm. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238
