Sara Milner's Obituary
Sara Milner, 93, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on Sat February 11, 2017, in Plano, Texas. Orphaned during the Great Depression and a survivor of the fighting in Europe as a young woman during the Second World War, she embodied the traits of hard work, perseverance, honesty, and thrift with a tremendous love for her family, friends and adopted a country. Sara will be missed by the many people whose lives she enriched over a long and productive life as a homemaker, seamstress and professional baker. She is survived by five children and their spouses; Sam and Brenda Milner, Barbra and David Harrison, Jack and Kathy Milner, Mickey Milner, and Dana and Teresa Milner; five grandchildren and their spouses; Michael and April Milner, Blake and Hillary Harrison, David and Laurel Milner, Blair and David Carp, and Steven Milner; and six great-grandchildren; JB Milner, Jacob Milner, Nathaniel Harrison, Grace Milner, Kira Harrison and Dylan Carp. The family will receive friends on Wed February 15, 2017, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Thu February 16, 2017, at 10:00 AM at Wildwood Chapel, Restland Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Texas 75243. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
