I will always have sweet memories of staying the weekend at Grandma's. I'd get to go swimming, eat spaghettios or whatever delicious home cooking she would make, while enjoying cartoons and lounging around. Whenever I was at Grandma's, I was treated like royalty.Those days have long since past but I remember them like it was yesterday. As much as it hurts, I'm relieved to know that she is in a better place now.
Our favorite memory of Sara is when she cooked an authentic meal for us at Brenda and Sam's. The boys were so proud of her cooking skills. She was so happy to spend time with the grandkids and cooking for them was just icing on the cake!
Sara was my first friend upon arriving to Texas 20 plus years ago. We met at Prarie Creek Elementary school and became friends after that. I loved her for her personality and her forthrightness. She was a woman who was not afraid to speak her mind, a trait that is rare. I am going to miss her very much! Lonnie Leija-Tucker
