Sarah Elizabeth Bennett Rogers' Obituary
ROGERS, SARAH ELIZABETH BENNETT passed peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the age of 100 years and six months. She was born September 22, 1912, in Fort Worth to Claude and Harriet Mabel Rhea Bennett, and was our beloved and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She lived a long and wonderful life, devoted to her family, her friends, and her church. She was truly a child of the Greatest Generation and, during her lifetime, witnessed some of this country’s most trying and challenging tests, and many of its finest and most enduring achievements and contributions to mankind. She was the wife of William J. Rogers and is survived by her son, William J. Rogers, Jr. and his wife Sara; daughter Linda R. Roberts and her husband Mark; grandchildren Mark C. Roberts II and wife Melissa; Amanda R. Cloy and husband Kevin; William J. Rogers III and wife Annette; Alison R. Harmatuk and husband Matt; and Beth R. Pryor and husband Bill. The shining lights in her life were her great grandchildren Kristin Cloy; Christian and Claire Roberts; Will, Zach, and Jake Pryor; and Ethan and Abby Rogers. Graveside service will be held Friday, March 29, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Restland Memorial Park. Mimi, to say that we will miss you is a monumental understatement.
