Pat was my best friend for so many years. We were Pat-Patti-and whom ever was our other best at the time ( some times Eloise, or Delores) from grade school through junior high. Probably the wildest memory is when she hated to pluck her eyebrows and tried a razor. It didn’t turn out well. Or the time she wanted a boyfriend to not use chewing tobacco so she put some in her mouth. Unfortunately she swallowed it. She was one of the finest people I ever knew.
I remember when we where 5th grade and me and John Britton became friends at Thousand Oaks Elementary and when we had sleep overs at his house Mrs.(Pat)Britton would always make sure we had enough to eat and so concerned if we where hungry and and as mischievous as us 10-11yr. olds where we you would never be in trouble with her. She was the most awesome-est mother in the neighborhood. She was so eager to make sure everybody was ok before she was ok and she was like a second mom to me 🥲. Great lady that raised a great set of kids and I always new that she her grandkids would be in great hands as a grandmother. She will be missed by many but never forgotten.
