Ms. Sarah Jane Monday, age 76, of Garland, Texas was born to Mr. Ernest G. Scott and Ms. Aletha Boofer on Thursday, January 26, 1945, in Commerce, Texas. She passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, in Richardson, Texas.
Sarah opened Monday's Nursey where she fell in love with fragrant roses. She retired and continued to love plants. She shared plants with everyone who had an interest and those who did not.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Aletha Scott; sisters, Betty Sue Scott, Ernestine Hill, Gerline Leake, Nancy Walker, Sandra Hammons, Marilyn Butler; brothers, George Scott and Mike Scott.
Sarah is survived by her son, Roger Monday; grandsons, Alex Monday, Taylor Monday, Travis Monday; sisters, Virginia (Ginger) Hudson and husband Lynn of Caddo Mills, Texas, Carolyn Smith and husband Jimmie of Emory, Texas; brothers, Billy Ed Scott and wife Billie Joyce of Paris, Texas, Ronald Scott and wife Kay of Commerce, Texas, Donnie Scott and wife Laura of Lindsay, California; numerous friends, nieces and nephews.
