Scott Davidson Wilmarth's Obituary
Scott Davidson Wilmarth was born November 11, 1940 in Dallas, Texas. He passed away on May 5, 2017 in Garland, Texas. Preceded in death by his mother, Katherine O. Davidson; his father, Raymond V. Wilmarth, Sr.; and his brother Paul (Don) Wilmarth. Scott is survived by his wife, Ann Langley; his sons Scott D. Wilmarth, Jr., John A. Wilmarth (Elvira), and Paul D. Wilmarth (Laura); step-daughter Sheree Keefer (Tom); his sister Charlotte Gleiser (Ferman); and his brother Raymond V. Wilmarth, Jr. (Rose). Together they raised their three boys and have enjoyed their twelve grandchildren – Audrey, Ben, Sam, Joseph, Natalie, Rebecca, Abigail, Emily, John Jr., Eric, Ryan, and Anna. Scott and Ann recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and were surrounded by family and friends. Scott enjoyed hunting and fishing, recounting stories of his life from his younger years, and spending time with family & friends. During his 76 years of life, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus (Council 799), ran for public office in Dallas, Texas, and also volunteered as a Big Brother. Scott loved old black & white movies and just about anything with John Wayne in it. He will be remembered by most for having a great sense of humor, a contagious laugh, and for having a big heart. There are many funny and heart-warming stories to share about Scott and we invite friends to share them on this memorial page. There will be a visitation and rosary Tuesday evening, May 9th from 7:00PM-8:00PM for family and friends that would like to attend – held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Richardson, Texas (600 S. Jupiter Road, Richardson, TX 75081). The funeral mass will be held the following day Wednesday, May 10th at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. There will be a burial service following the funeral at Restland Cemetery in Richardson, Texas.
