Serena Yiumei Sung, born on October 6, 1959, in Taipei, Taiwan, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. Serena was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness and warmth.
Serena had a deep love for cats and found joy in their companionship. She dedicated her life to taking care of her beloved mother, Shao-Wen Pao, until her passing in 2017. Her selflessness and dedication were a testament to her caring nature.
Her nephew, Naveen Punyamurthyn, fondly remembers Serena as a playful, carefree, and easygoing aunt. He and his sister cherished the moments spent at her house, especially watching "Tom and Jerry" together. Serena's youthful spirit and sister-like demeanor made her a beloved figure in their lives. She was known for being very private and family-oriented, always putting her loved ones first.
Serena was preceded in death by her father, Chi-Yuan Sung, and her mother, Shao-Wen Pao. She is survived by her sister, Yiuling Punyamurthyn, her husband, Nagareswara Punyamurthyn, and their two children. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
