Shannon Marie Wormwood's Obituary
Shannon Marie Wormwood, age 36, passed away after a fight with cervical cancer on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She was born May 20, 1983, in Garland, Texas to Randall and Kathy Ostrom and graduated from Rowlett High School in 2001. She and her husband, Joshua Milam, have been together for eight years. She enjoyed working for Bell Helicopter where she was an administrative assistant. As her health declined, she and her husband were especially grateful for the support of her colleagues over her final months. While she loved the ocean, late nights playing board games, and long drives to anywhere, Shannon was equally pleased to spend a quiet evening at home under the weight of her cats, Moo, Fred, and Moxy. She was small in stature but the hole she leaves behind her will forever leave a lasting mark on all who knew her. Her love will be sorely missed.
Shannon was preceded in death by her father and is survived by her husband, her mother, a brother, a half-sister, and various nieces and nephews. Family, friends, and colleagues are welcome to join us in remembering Shannon at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243 on February 1, 2020 at 12:30 PM.
