Sharon Lynn Burke's Obituary
Ms. Sharon Burke, age 59, passed away on Friday December 23,2022, in Dallas, Texas. She will be sincerely missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
Sharon was known to her friends and family as a caring person who was fun to be with. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1981. She received her BA in Radio, TV & Film from the University of North Texas in 1986.
She worked in the travel & leisure field for many years mainly serving as a customer representative for Club Corp. in Dallas. Sharon loved working with people and was often complemented for her ability to make people happy. Her customers were confident in the plans she helped them create.
Sharon had a great love for The Beatles and had an interesting collection of memorabilia related to the band. She loved animals and had several rescue cats through the years. Her joyful presence will be greatly missed. Sharon's life was a complicated one but her good heart and sense of humor will be remembered by those who knew and loved her.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents: John L Burke Jr., and Marilyn Soholt Burke. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Ellen G. Burke of San Diego, CA; brothers John Soholt Burke of Lexington, KY and Kevin T.H. Burke of Dallas, Texas; nieces Linda Carillo and Pamela Burke; and nephew John S. Burke Jr. Also, to cherish her memory will be her close friend, Brenda Coyle.
A Memorial Service will be held on March 4, 2023, at 11:00am at The Cathedral of Hope. The church is located at 5910 Cedar Springs Rd., Dallas, TX 75235
