Sharon Elaine Rizzo's Obituary
Sharon Elaine Hunt Rizzo was the oldest of 4 children born to Virginia Smith Hunt and Willie Hunt on August 24, 1961 in Marshall, TX. Sharon attend Gladewater High School where she was a cheerleader and where she excelled academically. She also attended University of Texas at Tyler. She worked at UT Health Center Research Department while attending school in Tyler. Later she received her Bachelor of Science degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University Waxahachie, TX. Sharon worked her way through college. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of Gladewater, until relocating to Dallas. After relocating to Dallas, Sharon quickly united with Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church and later joined the staff there. While at OCBF, she rededicated her life to Christ and was baptized. Upon leaving OCBF, she joined Park Cities Presbyterian Church and also was on staff there for 10 years. She remained a member there until her death. She was united in holy matrimony in June, 2006 to Mr. Glauco Rizzo. No children were born to this union but Sharon and Glauco were blessed with a special daughter chosen by God, Bianica Johnson of Dallas, Tx, a grand daughter Bryanna and a god daughter Dymond Moses of Gilmer, Tx. Sharon was proceeded in death by her grandparents on both sides and her mother and father. She leaves two sisters- LaDonna Miller and Alice Diane Taft and three brothers – Willie Hunt, Jr., Leslie Cozart and Wesley Cozart (Jenny), a special little sister Sandra Lynn Smith A very special maternal aunt Lovenia Owens (Gladewater, Tx) and Emily Waddle ton (Watsonville, Ca.) a very dear and special uncle Greer Lee Bradford of Los Angeles California. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a multitude of special friends and associates. Sharon was a pure and gentle soul. She never raised her voice to anyone and she never met a stranger. Sharon had such a giving heart. Everyone who came in contact with her was impacted by her sweet, gentle and giving spirit. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be at 1:00 pm Friday, August 7, 2015 at Park Cities Presbyterian Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243 at Restland Road.
