Shawn Rea McManigle Miller's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished Shawn McManigle-Miller, age 60, of Dallas, Texas. Shawn passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, and was born in Seagoville, Texas on October 27, 1964, to Peggy and Roland McManigle.
Shawn was a loving wife, mother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bobby Miller, who resides in Dallas, Texas, their twin sons, Ashton and Alexander Miller of Dallas, Texas; her step-son, Sky Miller and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Miller and two grandchildren, Marshall and Miles Miller of Denver, Colorado; her sister, Staci McManigle of Terrell, Texas; and her half-sister D’Onna Winn and her two children Hannah Winn-Milrany and Shilo Winn of Ft. Worth, Texas. Shawn was preceded in death by her parents, Peggy McManigle, of Wills Point, Texas, and Roland McManigle of Wills Point, Texas; and her sister Donna Swanson.
Shawn's warmth, kindness, and generosity of spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. A 1982 graduate and proud alumna of Seagoville High School, she was honored by her peers with several titles, including Miss SHS, Most Involved, Football Sweetheart, Homecoming Duchess, Most Beautiful, Junior Class President, Drama Club Vice President and Varsity Cheerleader. These recognitions speak not only to her external beauty but also to her exceptional character and the deep admiration she earned from those around her. Shawn will always be remembered for her kindness, her sweetheart, and the positive impact she had on the lives of so many.
Shawn had a life well-lived, and she will forever be in our hearts. If tears could build a stairway, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home. Until we meet again…
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 2:00pm at Wildwood Chapel at Restland Park, located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
