Shearl Deneise Bennett's Obituary
BENNETT, SHEARL DENEISE WALKER ~ Daughter of Mr. Ed Walker, Jr. and Mrs. Callie Walker, moved into the full present of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 21, 2011. Born on July 6, 1961, in Jacksonville, TX, she confessed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age and united with the New Hope Baptist Church. In the early 1980’s, Shearl relocated to Dallas, TX and joined Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church. She was a very dedicated and faithful member as demonstrated by her active involvement in numerous church activities and related auxiliaries. She was a member of the Herions of Jericho, Reoma Court #374. Shearl began her education at Mt. Heaven Elementary School and in 1979 she graduated from Jacksonville High. Following high school graduation, she attended Lon Morris Community College in Jacksonville, TX. After completing her studies at Lon Morris she enrolled in Texas State Technical College and furthered her studies in the school of Dentistry. At the time of her untimely death she was an employee of Baylor Health Systems. She leaves to cherish her memory: parents, Ed and Callie Walker; sisters, Sarah Hinton and Brenda Kay Boyd of Jacksonville, TX; brothers, Edward Walker (Ruth) of Dallas, TX, Richard Sapp (Joyce) of Ft. Worth, TX; several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved family in Christ at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, Dallas, TX. Visitation will be held Friday, September 30, 2011 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1819 North Washington Avenue, Dallas, TX 75204, with Pastor Dr. Curtis W. Wallace presiding. Funeral service will be held at 12:00pm, Saturday, October 1, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church, 411 South Bolton Street, Jacksonville, TX 75766.
