Sheri Lee Hodge Wright's Obituary
Sheri Lee Hodge Wright, 67, passed away on the evening of September 3, 2017 at her home in Carrollton TX. Sheri was born in Dallas on August 29, 1950 to parents Elbert “Steve” and Priscilla “Mimi” Hodge. She lived in the Dallas area her entire life and was a proud Texan. She worked as a legal secretary for twenty years, and said that she always wanted to pursue that career because she found the work to be fascinating.Sheri was a passionate woman. She loved fiercely and strongly, and she had no greater love than the love she had for her children and grandchildren. She loved to ride motorcycles and was the proud owner of a Honda Goldwing trike, which she traveled on frequently. She was an accomplished seamstress, sewing baby blankets for each of her grandchildren, which are cherished possessions. Sheri had a quick wit and never met a stranger. She had an uncanny ability to befriend anyone and enjoyed learning about the lives of others.Sheri is survived by her son, Jeremy Wright, of Keller, Texas, her daughter Julie Crowell, of Houston, Texas, her brother Roger Hodge, of Plano, Texas, and her two grandchildren, Skylar Wright and Jackson Crowell. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Priscilla Hodge.Funeral Services will be held the morning of September 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Sheri’s name.
