Shirley Carney's Obituary
CARNEY, SHIRLEY HOLMES Born on September 12, 1931 and died on March 2, 2007. She is survived by her husband Robert Carney, her three children, Rob Carney, Kim Carney McGill and Brad Carney. She is also survived by one brother James Lewis Holmes and one Cousin Betty Bell Robison, and one grandson Sean McGill. Shirley graduated from Forest Avenue High school in 1948 and from North Texas State Teachers College in 1953. In 1954 Shirley married Bob Carney. She worked for several prominent Dallas business man and enjoyed her work as much as raising her three children. Her husband, Bob Carney, had two successful businesses, Standard Office Supply and Bob Carney Office Furniture. Shirley’s hobbies were tennis and bridge but her main love was being with her children. Family will received friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 6, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday March 7, 2007 at Restland Memorial Chapel. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
