Shirley Fadal Doumany's Obituary
Doumany, Shirley Fadal was born in Waco, Texas on April 9, 1928 and died January 28, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. Her Lebanese heritage was very important to her. She never missed the opportunity to remind her children and grandchildren of the importance of family and of loving each other. In 1950, she married Constantine R. Doumany and after spending several years in Waco they moved to Dallas in 1961 where they made their home. Their warm and inviting home was always open to friends, old and new alike. Shirley enjoyed a successful career as a customer service supervisor with Horchow and Neiman Marcus in Dallas before retiring to enjoy time with her family and many friends. Shirley’s husband, Connie, predeceased her in 1989. She is survived by their four grateful children, daughters, Michelle Doumany, Susan Lutes and husband, Greg Lutes; Patti Doumany and fiance, Monte Hough; and son, Jeff Doumany and wife, Mary Nan Doumany. Her nine surviving grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren will all greatly miss “Nan”. There will be a memorial service at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, where Shirley was an active member for over 30 years, on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 1:00 PM (5923 Royal Lane Dallas, Texas) In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 8111 N. Stadium Drive, Suite 100 Houston, Texas 77054 or to the charity of your choice.
