Shirley Mae Gaston, 85, best known as “Nanny”, of McKinney, Texas passed away into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 5, 2019, in McKinney, Texas. She was born on June 10, 1933 in Hope, Arkansas. She was married to Marvin Gaston for 24 years. She worked for most of her life as a bookkeeper, with the last 17 years with her chosen son John Przybysz. She was a member and committed Christian of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in McKinney, Texas.Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Eugene Gaston and three brothers, John, Boyce, and Doyce Newton. She is survived by a son, Lee Didway two daughters, Diana Kay Martin and Spouse Jim of McKinney, Texas and Sharon Martin of Garland, Texas, a sister, Evelyn Skinner and Husband Roy of Garland, Texas, two grandchildren Keven Sticher and wife Becky, Courtney Lincks and Allan Kinchen, Ricky Martin and wife Andrea, and Chris Martin, and three great-grandchildren: Mason, Emily, and Colton Sticher. And her precious pet, Starla.Visitation for “Nanny” will be held Sunday, March 10, 2019, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 11, 2019, at 12:30 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Ave Dallas, Texas 75243.Her sweet, loving spirit will be missed, but her unconditional love that touched everyone who knew her will remain in our hearts forever.
