Hamiter, Shirley's Obituary
Shirley Ann Reavis Hamiter, 84, passed away on December 21, 2024 in Keller, Texas. She was born on December 21, 1940, to William Newton Reavis and Murtie Gertrude Lake Reavis, in Greenville, Texas. She married Paul Hershell Hamiter, on March 1, 1957 in Dallas, Texas. She was a nurse and spent many years of her life dedicated to helping others. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Mrs. Hamiter, matriarch of a wonderful family, was a committed wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, friend and aunt. Shirley will be missed by all of us but her presence, guidance, and spirit will never be forgotten. She was a shining example of loving God, helping others, and loving people.
She is preceded in death by her parents William and Murtie Reavis, brother David Hershel Reavis, Sr. and her beloved husband Paul Hershell Hamiter, Sr. She is survived by her 6 children, Paula, Paul, William, Margaret, Michael and Autumn, their spouses, 13 grandchildren, their spouses, 13 great-grandchildren, their spouses and 1 great-great grandchild.
A celebration to honor Shirley Ann Reavis Hamiter, will be held on Thursday, January 30th, 2025 at 2:00 PM, at the Wildwood Chapel in Restland Cemetery, with the graveside service to follow in the Sunset Garden. Restland Cemetery, located at 13005 Greenville Ave in Dallas.
