Shirley Love Hollingsworth's Obituary
HOLLINGSWORTH, SHIRLEY LOVE passed away on February 3, 2017, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Oklahoma on November 11, 1929 to the late William Lawrence and Pearle Nesbitt Love. She was a graduate of Highland Park High and SMU. Mrs. Hollingsworth was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority, where she served as House Manager. She enjoyed a 35 year career with Baylor University Medical Center. She began her work there as a volunteer, eventually becoming President of the volunteers; later she worked and retired as Office Manager in Physical Medicine. She was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers, enjoyed reading mystery novels, and above all had an unmatched love for and commitment to her family. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Henry Harold Hollingsworth Jr. Shirley is survived by her daughter Ann and her two children Matthew and Amy; son Mark, and his wife Darci, and their two children Megan and Jacob. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 11 AM at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Cox Chapel with reception immediately following. Memorials may be made to the Highland Park United Methodist Church Congregational Care. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
