Kay Rose George
Shirley and I were neighbors and friends when we lived in Dallas..she and her family on Syracuse Dr. and me and my family on Wake Forrest. My name at the time was Kay DeVault and my boys, Danny and Travis, played with Scott and Brian. (Baby Alex was too young). Shirley was an incredible mother who adored her boys and a devoted friend. One of my favorite memories is one Halloween when she dressed as either a witch or Dracula (its been too long) and greeted the "trick or treaters". Shirley was a wonderful seamstress and actually taught me to sew. We had a great time together. We lost touch over the years but I talked with her a couple of years ago. I regret that we didn't stay close. She was a beautiful, loving person and will be missed.
