Shirley Ann Morphis' Obituary
Shirley was born in Rowlett, Texas on March 22 1935. She lived her whole life in Garland, TX. She was a graduate of Garland High School, class of 1955. She is preceded in death by her parents Luther and Freda Killion and husband Robert Morphis. Shirley was an executive secretary for Texas Instruments for several years and later worked in the family business of Garland Saw & Lawnmower and GTM Plastics with her husband. Shirley is survived by her daughters Valerie Whicker and husband Rick Whicker and Mellanie Riggs and husband Gary Riggs. She is also survived by her brother Charles Killion, and sister , Linda Beller. Shirley has four wonderful grandchildren, Eric Whicker, Emily Peters, Reece Riggs, and Rachel Riggs. Shirley was also blessed by three great grandsons, Easton Whicker, Kasen Whicker, and Whitten Peters. Shirley was a devoted Christian and loved her church. Shirley's most treasured thing in life was her loving family that she
adored.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at New Liberty Baptist Church in Garland, Visitation is 1 hour prior. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimers Association.
