Shirley Pauline Lee's Obituary
Shirley Pauline Phillips Sherriff (Lee), 81 was called home to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 24, 2016. As the third child born to Mildred Phillips Pineda and Verlon Phillips on August 9, 1935 in Dallas, Texas, she was a gift from God. Shirley was raised in Dallas, Texas and was a very loving, giving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She was known for her big heart, especially in giving to others. New Heights Baptist Church in Wylie, Texas was her place of worship and membership for many years. Professionally, Shirley worked diligently in finances, taxes and bookkeeping with great integrity. She retired from Hatfield & Hatfield CPA, Accounting and Associates. Shirley loved deeply and was close to her immediate family, as well as her brothers and sisters, which was numbered by the dozen. She is preceded in death by two brothers; David Phillips and Donald Phillips. The love of her life, Ronnie Sherriff also preceded her in death. Shirley is survived by her daughter, Pamela Jo Tuggle, her son-in-law, Don Tuggle, from Tacoma, WA. Also survived by her grandsons, Matthew W. Brush from Los Angeles, CA, Joshua W. Brush from Renton, WA and Brian Lee Tuggle from Tacoma, WA, all of whom she absolutely adored. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters, Joann Phillips Short, Janice Pineda Foster (Tony), Linda Pineda Porterfield, Anita Pineda McCleary (Chuck), and Karen Pineda Mitchell. Surviving brothers are Paul Pineda, Michael Pineda (Michele), Gary Pineda (Stacy) and Rick Pineda (Kathy). Shirley was blessed with many nephews, nieces and extended family. She was so proud to be from such a large loving and devoted family. Everyone loved Shirley and she easily made many, many friends over the years. Today is a celebration of love, her life on earth, but more importantly her eternal life in Heaven with the Lord and all of the saints that have gone before her. Shirley Pauline would want you not to grieve her departure from this earth, but rejoice in her homecoming, remembering her always in your hearts and know that she ran this race on earth very well. As Believers, we know it is not darkness we are going to, for God is eternal light and His Glory will shine on each of our faces and we will embrace the freedom and joy that only comes through Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the Restland Wildwood Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
