Shirley Marie Uhrik was born on April 1, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, IA. She peacefully passed away on August 26, 2018, at her home in Richardson, TX. Shirley is preceded in death by her spouse, Richard, parents, Carl and Hazel Ross, and son, David Uhrik. Shirley is survived by her children, Stephen (Frances), Carl (Michael Burkart), Paul, Bill (Kathy), Julie Schmidt, James (Mary), Andrew (Kristina), Mary Taxter (Shawn), fourteen grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. Shirley had a great love for her family. She was active at her St. Paul parish, especially with Women’s Guild and Catholic Daughters. Shirley enjoyed reading, lunch with her friends, crocheting, playing chicken foot, and spending time with her grandchildren. A Rosary will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, from 7 PM to 8 PM, at St. Paul Catholic Church located at 720 S. Floyd, Richardson, TX 75080. Visitation will be held before and after the Rosary. Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 10 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church followed by interment at Restland and a reception at the St. Paul Parish Center, 900 St. Paul Dr. Richardson, TX 75080.Funeral arrangements for Ms. Shirley Marie Uhrik have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
