Shirley Jean Vaughn was born in Bonham, TX on June 5, 1939 to Emmett Ray and Nora Lillian Johnson and passed away May 20, 2018 in Plano, TX. Shirley was one of ten children who were raised on a cotton farm in Trenton, TX. Her best friends in life were her sisters and brothers, and she loved them immensely. Shirley was a hard working woman who raised three children all while having the cleanest house in Texas. She never met a stranger. She loved to cook, travel, sing, dance, sew and garage sale. She doted on her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She was called “Nana” and “Mom” by many kids throughout her life.Shirley is survived by her daughter, Patricia Fields and husband Barry of The Colony, TX; her son, Leon Vaughn, Jr. of Plano, TX; her daughter, Lisa Romano and husband Dale of Plano, TX; her grandchildren, Dedra Quick, Tammi Enderle and husband, Brenton, and Xander Romano; her great-grandchildren, Addison Quick, Emerson Enderle and Aisley Enderle; her brother, Thomas Johnson; her sister, Lona Wood; and many nieces and nephews.The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Restland Funeral Home.
