Shirley Ann Williams' Obituary
Shirley Ann Gaines Williams entered life’s race on November 2, 1946 in Dallas, TX to the parentage of Hubert Fait Gaines and Claudia Vera Hicks. She and her twin sister Beverly Gaines Jackson were the only 2 children born to that union. She accepted Christ at an early age at Munger Ave.Baptist Church. Her most recent church home was St. Paul Baptist Church. Shirley attended the public shools of Dallas, TX and was a graduate of Hamilton Park High School. She also attended Bishop College for a short while.She was married to Frank Williams, Jr. for a brief period of time and to that union two daughters, Rochelle Denise and Felicia Cheray were born.She was employed for many years at Western Electric as a Quality Control Specialist. The company changed names several times and she retired from Lucent Technologies after 29 years of service.Shirley transitioned to her final resting place on Saturday evening, June 2, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving daughters, Denise and Cheray, her sister Beverly, her two nieces Monica Luckey and Misti Jackson, a great nephew and niece DeMarkaus and Kierah Luckey, great nephew Zachary Jackson, her faithful four-legged companion, Alfie, as well as many other cherished family members, friends, and neighbors.The family requests that visiting hours be observed for Ms. Williams on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. A funeral service for Shirley will take place on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Garden of Trinity in Restland Cemetery.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243.
